The reason you would want to replace your current disposal would more than likely be because of wear and tear. A garbage disposal is a very impressive piece of machinery, but at the end of the day it can wear down over time just like everything else. Grime can get clogged up over time and make it a lot harder to operate. Even if you maintain your garbage disposal on a regular basis through cleaning materials specifically designed for it, you will still find that over time the efficiency of the garbage disposal will drop dramatically. Therefore, replacing an existing disposal is something you are probably going to have to do at least once in your life
What does a Garbage Disposal actually do?
Garbage disposals are designed so that any large pieces of garbage that goes down your drain is ground up into very small pieces. This in turn allows them to go through your kitchen plumbing system safely without clogging anything along the way. The fact that they help avoid clogging and damaging the plumbing system is one main reason garbage disposals are very popular these days. Much more than just items of convenience, garbage disposals can actually help to prolong the life of your current kitchen plumbing setup.

Of all the DIY topics that people discuss, installation of a toilet is usually not on the list of priorities. When people take on DIY projects, they tend to do it because they feel they can save money on work that is relatively easy. For some reason however, people do not associate the installation of a toilet with something that is easy to do. This is partially because of the perceived complicated plumbing involved with the installation of a toilet and partially because the imagery of a malfunctioning toilet is so disturbing to some people that they will not even give it a chance to work from the beginning.
If you are feeling trepidation about the installation of a toilet, the good news is that you really have no actual reason to feel this way. Installing a toilet is not that much harder than fixing a sink or maintaining a bathtub and most DIY people consider these tasks to be relatively easy. Furthermore, plumbers and hardware workers often take advantage of this perceived difficulty in toilet installation to charge higher hourly rates for the work, forcing people to pay more money in order to get the toilet installed. This means that if you do the toilet installation on your own, the amount of money you could save is actually higher and if that is not a reason to go ahead and do the toilet installation yourself, there is no reason that would be.

If you want to know how to replace a faucet, there is some good news and some bad news. The good news is that from a mental point of view, faucet work is pretty easy to accomplish. The bad news is that any faucet, whether you are replacing bathroom faucet devices or replacing a kitchen faucet, will require a fair amount of work. Replacing bathtub faucet parts can be very tricky, but replacing a shower faucet or replacing a bathroom faucet from the sink can be tough as well. Regardless of which faucet in your house you replace, you are going to have to put in a lot of elbow grease. The good thing for you is that people have been fixing faucets for decades and the collective wisdom of their experiences is available for you to follow.

Out of all of the do-it-yourself tasks that are commonly discussed in and around the Internet, re-caulking the bathtub has to be one of the least desirable ones around. There are many reasons as to why this is the case, but the caulk bathtub task is disliked even by experts mostly because of how often things seem to go wrong during the job. Learning how to caulk bathtub fixtures is easy to do, but actually getting in there and doing the caulking in a way that does not irritate you and actually ends up being effective is a lot easier said than done. Ultimately, caulking a bathtub is an act of sheer will and before you even start bathtub refinishing you need to resolve to see this thing through to the end. If you don't, you can end up making a bad situation with peeling caulk even worse with whatever it is you do.
