Water Heater Vent Pipe

Water Heater Vent Pipe 1 Year, 5 Months ago Karma: 0
I just had a gas water heater installed...40 gal. tank. The vent pipe that starts on top of the water heater and goes up through my ceiling is very, very hot to touch. Is this normal?

How hot is very hot? Just like you can't really touch it at all?
