Cat Urine out of Carpets 2 Years, 10 Months ago Karma: 0
We are trying to clean my moms carpet for her. The cat has been getting into the living room and going to the bathroom on the carpet while my mother has been in the hospital. Does anyone know what we can use to get the stink of cat urine out of the carpet?

There is a great formula to clean out cat and dog urine permanently (stain or any odor). It can be used on any surface or carpet and floor.
16 0z Hydrogen Peroxide
1 Teaspoon dishwashing liquid
1 Tablespoon Baking Soda
Mix up together and apply the formula on effected area then clean it with vacuumed or brushed. Let completely dry the cleaning area.

I think that's the worst urine smell ever... I can take dog urines, but cats, I can't tell.

Many times the urine will soak completely thru into the subfloor. I have seen people have to replace the subfloor to get rid of the smell.

THis is my solution to the problems with urine stains
1 tablespoon borax
1 cup hot water
6 drops eucalyptus oil
Dissolve the borax in the water,
allow to cool and add the oil.
Pour the mixture in a jar. Then sponge onto the stain, allow it to try
and then sponge again with a damp cloth.
You should reapply if it is necessary.

Human urine is the worst smell. Taking up carpet, I have encountered all kinds of urine, and nothing smells like human.

Sam floor is correct. I think you should also work out on the sub-floor. Get rid of the smell totally.
