Yes I would suggest installing and energy efficent window treatment like a light blocking cellular shade. They make a big difference blocking out hot and cold air.

Keep the shades and curtains closed of the day, make sure you have flipped the switch on your fan to push air down toward the floor (cool air rises to the ceiling) and wait to open your windows each day until the sun is no longer shining on that side of the house.

You can install a good ceiling fan and open all the windows so that air come in but like this that only air come and only little bit of sunlight.As the temperature rises, so does the cost of cooling your home, especially if you use an air conditioner. Obviously, the best way to keep your home cool during the summer is to use an air conditioner to keep the temperature down, but there are other options that don’t raise your energy bill quite significantly that is ceiling fans. you can also use some good bedding for make your room more comforter-table.

You should use more blue or green colors to keep your room cool. Also, remove the foam accessories and use some tinted mirrors to reflect sunlight.

Use Air-Cooler in your room, it's easy to use & After summer you can open it and keep any where in your room.
It's very cheap as compare to Air-conditioner.

For a reliable ceiling fan I'd recommend either Emerson or Fanimation.

I think this is a very good piece of advice. You know, I didn't know the fact about fan. I have always flipped the switch on the fan up, thinking it will cool the air more quickly, how can I??????

According to me install white window shades, drapes, or blinds to reflect heat away from the house. Close blinds, shades and draperies facing the sun to keep the sun’s heat out and help fans or air conditioners cool more efficiently. Always remember that the best way to keep your home cool is to keep the heat out.

I think the secret is in the window and the the flow of air to your bedroom. Put some light color curtains on your window.
