It's great to build shelves with smooth corners with biscuits and dadoes, but I hate the hassle of cutting the grooves for the dadoes and hate trying to keep them lined up.

Are screws as strong and secure as the dado and biscuit method, or am I better off simply finding someone with more skills to build my shelves using the bicuite and dado method?

Well in my opinion, I think screws are much stronger and better than biscuit method. We got some furniture with biscuits on them instead of screw and they didn't last longer. Also, I think it will also rely on how stronger the wood is.

I use screws and a plug cutter to make matching plugs.
